R43 Wave 14-RRR — Paper 1 split into P1A + P1B; cobaya DESI DR2 w0wa chain in burn-in
Wave 14-VVV closes a Houston-Method violation flagged in P3 abstract: "empirical calibration of α deferred to dedicated follow-up work" was wrong — the calibration is doable with current DESI DR1 data and no future survey is required. New script `pipelines/p1_highz_tracers/scripts/wave_14_vvv_alpha_empirical.py` runs Landy-Szalay angular w(θ) on the FULL 5,384 QSO candidates vs 195,829 full anomaly subsample with anomaly-window-matched randoms (26,920 points) and 30-region jackknife. Headline: empirical α = 0.19 ± 0.65 (1σ jackknife, geomean bias ratio 1.27 ± 0.65 over 3 signal bins θ ∈ [0.04°, 0.25°]) — consistent with the prior fiducial α = 0.15 within 1σ, now empirically anchored. σ(f_NL) = 8.27 ± 2.37 (7.9% empirical improvement over the 8.98 DESI QSO baseline). P3 v3.1.20 → v3.1.21: abstract reframe + §VII opening + §VIII Limitations item 4 — "deferred" language replaced with measured numbers. PDF recompile clean: 41 pp / 28,358,736 bytes / 0 undef refs. Mirrored byte-identical to all 7 P3 surfaces. Cobaya DESI DR2 chain (Wave 14-SSS, parallel): R̂−1 = 0.65 at 13:09 (was 0.86 at 10:38, monotonic descent), ETA 18-30 h to R̂−1 < 0.01. **All P1/P2/P3/P4 papers: only Houston sign-off + clean external R43 round + arXiv left.**
